How does scoring work?
A player's performance depends on four factors:
End of hole
At the end of every hole, a score is assigned to the player for that hole.
Double eagle, hole-in-one or better: 15 points Eagle (exc. hole-in-one): 7 points Birdie: 2 points Par: 0.5 points Bogey: -1 points Double bogey or worse: -3 points The score for the round is the sum of all "end of hole" scores.
End of round
At the end of every round, a bonus can be added to a round's score: Bogey Free Round: 5 points Low round of the day for that tournament: 10 points Round under par: 3 points
End of tournament At the end of a tournament, a set of points is awarded according to the player's rank: 1st place: 50 points 2nd place: 30 points 3rd place: 20 points top 10%: 10 points 10-25%: 5 points
Field strenght adjustment We are currently designing the field strenght adjustment, but the idea behind it is to multiply a player's score for a tournament with a multiplier comprised between 0.75 and 1, depending on the OWGR / Rolex Ranking position of the field represented on the tournament relative to other tournaments.
